In June I attended the English indoor snowboard championships, which was held at my home slope Chill Factore. Lots of my friends came to this event, and it was awesome to catch up as I haven’t seen lots of them since the British Championships in March. My coaches John Weatherly and Dougal Doyle were there to support the Chill Factore team which was so cool and we spent most of the time having fun.
I was really happy with my first two runs and hit a variety of rails and kickers.
There were some really amazing females riders there so I was really shocked to find out that I had made the 6 woman overall final, and even though I smashed my head off the kicker on my first run, it was still lots of fun to do. The event was eventually won by Issy Jones who is one of my favorite people to ride with, so stoked for her! I was so happy to find out that I won my section and was now both the English and British Indoor kids champion as well as the Scottish U16 Champion.
Four months later the Chill Factore held the Indoor British Championships 2013. I was stoked to win the section for the second year running and I also got down to the final 6 women riders in the women’s overall section.
