Blog 1-3, July 2012

On the 7th of July the first ever Strawberry Jam was held at Chatham ski slope.  I travelled down with a friend, Bradley Gaulter, we where both very excited because the park looked fantastic and the southern competitions always have a super atmosphere. There was going to be a secret feature with a brilliant prize to be won: a holiday. The journey took 4 and halve hours and we got there just as practise was starting. The park was even better than what the plans had suggested and I could not wait to get on it. The competition started with a jam session followed by a super final. The was not enough   women to run a over 16 and a under 16 so they ran them together. In the final we had 2 runs two impress the judges  so I decided to do some switch riding .although I fell on both runs I still pleased with my runs .whilst  I was waiting  for the  results I talked to some of my friends and went on the toboggan run: then they were ready for the results.

They read the results out in reverse order and I was shocked when I heard my name called out for 1st place. I have never had a 1st before and I am still ecstatic about it. The prizes were sick and I also won a pot of strawberry jam which was my favourite prize. Can’t wait for the next Southern comp, they always do amazing events.
