Pila and The British Free Ride Tour

February was a pretty busy month!

After getting back from Bulgaria, I was home for a week before heading up to Scotland to meet up with my Freestyle Club, Bearsden for a trip to Pila in Italy. I’d been to Pila a few years ago and I was stoked to be getting back out there, and to be working with my coach Neil Macgrain on the mountains.

Me and some of the team killing time at the airport.

The weather was awesome! it snowed nearly every day so we spent the week riding powder and occasionally hit the park.
I love powder!

The trip was the sickest I’ve been on and I can’t wait for the next one!
Shortly after we got back home we headed back up to Scotland for the first leg of the British Free Ride Tour. This leg was held in Glenshee and was my first free riding competition.

The competition was split over two days, with the older riders competing on the Saturday. It was great to watch them and see how the used the mountain. We then spent the rest of the day training for the junior section.

The following day they told us which runs we would be doing and we spent a few hours practicing the courses. We had two runs and they both counted towards the overall scores. The runs were really challenging due to ice and rocks!

I went first and managed to get a few 360’s and 180’s in my run, I did have one stumble tho which I was gutted about. My second run was much cleaner.

After the comp we did a little more training and had some feedback from the coaches before prize giving.

I came first and Hollie took silver
